Unleash The Power Of Viral Marketing For (social network sites) Your Home Business

By Josh Bradley

Advertising is the key to success for any home business, as people can’t turn into customers if they don’t know you exist and don’t know how you can meet their needs. Traditional advertising, such as print media has been around since the invention of the printing press and broadcast media soon came after the birth of radio. But despite all the years of using these types of advertising, the internet has cast a new light on how to successfully market a business without spending a fortune.

While the cost of Internet advertising may seem cheap considering the number of potential customers it can reach for businesses that only offer a local product or service advertising globally just may not make sense. If your business is located in Iowa and your advertising appears in England or in Africa, chances are the return on your advertising investment will not be what you expected.

While internet businesses can gain tremendously from internet marketing, it can get expensive over time depending on the type of advertising venue you choose. The best advertising you can hope for is to have others send your message to their friends, free, without being asked and without complaining. This is known as viral marketing.

The use of viral marketing has been growing and simply involves having internet users distributing your advertising message of their own free will. One of first and most successful uses of viral marketing was when companies such as Yahoo began offering free email accounts. A brief advertising message appears at the bottom of every Yahoo email sent, usually including a link for the advertiser. Then whenever people signed up for the free email service, every email they sent out contained an advertisement.

Talk about viral marketing! Unfortunately your business probably doesn’t have the capability to give out free email accounts but you can come up with other great ideas to virally get your message to the masses. Try giving away an eBook you write that shares useful information about your product, service or industry and of course has your advertisement tagged throughout the copy. Another idea is to create an online ezine that people could subscribe to and share with others.

Whatever idea you come up with just remember that people love free stuff and if what you give away has value then your prospects don’t mind recommending others to your business or website. This means massive exposure for your business and you don’t have to spend a dime.

Ways to Hinder Making Money Online
By Debora Kinsler

While there are plenty of ways to make money online, there are just as many mistakes that will stop you from making money. It is important to know the steps that could hinder money making online.

When you are choosing a URL, be careful not to limit it too much. If you do, you won’t be able to get traffic to your site. Don’t struggle to get your name into the URL if it has nothing to do with your blog or site. Try to promote whatever product or subject you are writing about. This will help you move up much faster in the search engines then if you have some random URL or your initials.

Once you have a URL that screams “Hey! I’m out here!” you will need to connect with other webmasters. The one thing that is better than having a URL that stands out is having a bunch of popular links that stand out as well.

Join link sharing programs and get great links. E-mail other webmasters and ask if they would like to exchange links. Links will generate attention and traffic. Do not, however, have a bunch of links that are not relevant to your site listed in your link partners section.

Don’t seem desperate. If you are a blogger, do not rant about the fact that you aren’t making money online. Also, do not write about totally different things every day. Have some type of theme that people will be interested in.

Remember, we all have the mundane. You need something feisty to keep users visiting your site. Crowding your site with graphics and flash technology will not prove traffic. In fact, most of the time, when people click on a site that has flash on it, they quickly check for a way to shut it off. If they can’t find that, they move on to another site. No one wants to wait several minutes for flash to download on a site they are unfamiliar with.

Paying for services is a great way to lose money online. If you are looking to start a website or blog, set it up yourself. There is no reason to pay for such services. While this does call for you to learn a little bit about web design and constructing web pages, the knowledge will help you in the money making process.

Being unfocused in the material that you publish online will lead to no money. If you are writing vague accounts of worldly events or have a website that is plain and boring, you won’t get a lot of traffic or make any money. Think about what you want when you go to a websiite. What keeps your interest?

What turns you off? Use these standards when signning yiour own site. Do not create a website that is completely out of the ordinary.

Do not use language that is not popular on the internet. If you create a site with huge words that are not frequently seen online, no one is going to make it to your site. When people type in phrases in a search engine, the sites that have similar words pop up. If your site has words that most people are not typing into search engines, they won’t land on your site.

Now that you have the information necessary to avoid

hindering your internet success. Start building your website if you don’t already have one, make the necessary changes if you do have one…Then start earning a nice income from your network marketing efforts.
